ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects is a purpose-driven, impact-focused, interdisciplinary design practice of 180, working nationally and internationally from studios in Melbourne and Sydney. We collaborate and co-design with clients, users and communities to make positive impact at scale. Designing with Country and collaborating with First Nations clients and communities is a practice priority. Our multi-faceted projects and precincts span health, education, urban design, community, seniors living & care, mixed use and retail, multi-residential, commercial and interiors.
The practice grew out of Robin Boyd’s iconic Small Homes Service 60+ years ago with a similar social mission – to transform community life with sustainable, affordable design of lasting value, and density done well. These days our diverse specialties include innovative adaptive reuse, regenerative urban renewal zero-carbon communities, high-impact social and affordable housing, mental health co-design, inclusive design, schools conceived as community hubs, and seniors communities that defy ageist stereotypes. Our distinctive placemaking methodology, Creating Vibrant Communities, helps us masterplan and deliver resilient, cohesive residential, mixed-use and commercial communities with lasting connection to place.
