Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture was established in Sydney in 1996. Since then, the company has built expertise in landscape architecture and urban design through a diverse and eclectic range of projects. A commitment to quality, horticultural research and experimentation and an understanding of environment pervades the practice’s work, resulting in a rich expression of landscape and place.
A long association with Sydney’s leading architects and urban designers has fostered a deep understanding of the intersection of the built and natural environment, and the relationship between built form and public domain. JILA participates in competitions and experimental projects to incubate and test thinking about landscape design and urban planning, winning with Hill Thalis and Paul Berkemeier the East Darling Harbour International Design Competition in 2006.
