Vision shower channels from Allproof are stylish and durable drainage solutions for tiled showers and bathrooms. Equator is a grate that provides a large open area for hydraulic performance, and a narrow reveal that hides the contents of the channel.
The channel is fabricated from 304 stainless steel and the grate from 316 grade stainless steel – for a premium product. The Vision Equator is available in stock sizes and customizable bespoke to your project.
The biggest benefit of a shower channel or strip drain is that it can be installed against a wall or at the shower entrance. This means the graded floor only needs to fall in one direction, removing the need for cross-cuts in tiles towards the centre of the shower. This format works well in modern bathrooms where large tiles and stone linings have become a prominent trend.
The Allproof Vision series comes with a VF80 puddle flange. This is a flange specifically designed to sit within the trench created for the channel drain. The puddle flange is compatible with all leading manufactures' waterproof systems and creates a watertight connection to the DWV system. By using a PVC puddle flange for a shower channel, rather than a fabricated stainless flange around the edge, it greatly reduces the surface area for bonding and therefore the risk of failure.
