Jean Nouvel’s first Melbourne tower approved

A $700-million tower development designed by 2008 Pritzker Prize Laureate Jean Nouvel has been approved by Victoria’s planning minister.

Developer Sterling Global has unveiled a 70-storey mixed-use tower in Melbourne designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel.

New planning controls will see the site plots of highrise buildings reduced to a ratio of 18:1.
